Alongside the use of transponders (RFID chips) barcodes offer a cost effective way of garment tracking.

In the laundry industry 2 of 5 interleaved is the standard. This code is numeric only and can easily be recognised by any scanner. Most used are the 8 digit length barcodes.

Thermopatch offers preprinted barcodes that can be ordered in a wide range of sizes and designs depending on the selected media.

Plytex^® barcodes
These barcodes are printed with dot matrix technology on Plytex^® label material. To ensure reading after repeated washes the labels are protected with a special transparent seal.

Other symbologies
If you use Data matrix or QR, we can print that for you as well. Both codes are getting more and more in use due to the higher information density.

Are you looking for a thin supple label that can be used on sheets and other flat work items? Please have look at our Mediron media. Also this material can be pre-printed with barcodes or other symbologies.

HiQ barcodes
With the HiQ system it is very easy to make your own barcode labels based on Thermal transfer printing technique.

Alternately, we can make them for you. HiQ barcodes are supplied on a roll with perforation.
